Snowflakes and cupcakes and cousins in April

The neighborhood kids enjoyed spring break this past week, so we got together for a cupcake making extravaganza. It turned out to be a perfect day for baking inside as it snowed all day. We practically had a blizzard.

Jane was a marvelous helper, walking around the kitchen singing and playing while we baked. She even figured out how to put the apron on over her head. I helped her to tie it up.

The snowflakes were so big, that we couldn't resist going outside to catch some. All bundled up, we ventured outside.
The sunglasses were to prevent snowflakes from falling into our eyes, but let's be realistic, they really just made us look really cool. Well, Jane, anyway.
Jane looks like she is happily opening her arms in this picture, but really she just couldn't move very well and this was the position of her arms when I put her down. I don't think she ever lowered her arms.
Cousin Em was really the only one who caught any snowflakes. She did a great job too.

Speaking of cousins, Jane's cousin Taylor came to play with her this week. We were waiting for Dad to come home and when I announced he had arrived, both of them ran to the window. Happily, it was not snowing that day, so we could stand at the window for ages and ages, even after Dad made it inside. Guess popularity is fleeting.

Aren't they such cute friends? They love to play together.

  1. Jane is so cute. Those last pictures remind me of Eliot waiting at the window for Rocky to get home from work.
