This week, we tried to work outside for a bit. Jane took her bucket and
shovel and announced that she was going to work in HER garden. Not
knowing previously that she had a garden, I watched her walk over to our
very dusty and large vegetable garden and started her work. Thank
goodness Grandma Hughes came over to help her or she never would have
gotten very far. They were so cute together.
Saturday we joined everyone else in our state in a trip to the zoo. We really liked the elephants...
...the five tigers...
...and climbing on everything.
Today, we met our friend Cannon for the first time (featured left below). John and four of his college roommates all had babies within two months of each other, four dashing boys and one very beautiful girl. The three babies below were born within two weeks of each other and are destined to be friends, whether they want to or not. They did pretty well today.
We had a nice week and enjoyed especially spending time with John's family this weekend and being with Cannon and Cora and parents.
P.S. Since several other family members have their kids doing gymnastics, we might as well try to get in the in-crowd by saying that Jane got to go to a free gymnastics class this week as a trial class. She loved it and if it didn't cost more to go to the class than we are saving for her college fund, she would be going more often. For now, we will enjoy jumping on the trampoline.
Oh Katharine!! It is so fun to see our little guy featured on your blog! Your little Spencer is just beautiful and I loved finally seeing his darling face in person. We are so happy to have seen you four - thank you for your support at Cannon's blessing. Can't wait to be friends forever. Love Love.
