As we were driving downtown this morning, Jane was making funny noises in her throat. John thought she knew she was making funny noises and commented with a smile, "Jane, there is a dinosaur in our car!" Surprised she answered, "Where is it?"
Jane in her Norwegian Dress (which was Lizzi's when she was a cute little two-year-old)
One sister in church told Jane how cute she looked in her Lederhosen.
We have been talking Christ and Santa this Christmas Season. Jane asked one night if Santa said his prayers or something similar and I asked what she thought about it. She said "I think he prays to Heavenly Father because Jesus loves us." I was so impressed! We now often talk about how Santa believes in Jesus Christ and gives us gifts to help us remember the Savior and try to think of what gifts we are giving to him. It has made Christmas more meaningful to me probably more than to Jane.
We love to visit the windows at a fancy hotel downtown. This morning we went with Grandma, Papa and Linda.
The picture below is for Grandma Johnson.
We've had fun with Linda lately, always lots of fun with Linda.
Check out this perfect cartwheel:
Another special part of Christmas is being with family and worshipping the Savior through remembering the Nativity. I always love being with my Johnson Grandparents at their Swedish Christmas party. My Grandfather reads Luke 2 and we of course have a musical program in which nobody preforming practiced their pieces more than 10 minutes before. But it is always quite magical and I love it.
Below is our celebration of the Nativity with John's family. Jane was great and preformed her part as angel that she loved shouting around last year: "Behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy!". Spencer was the baby Jesus.
Around the dinner table with John's family, we were asked to share what we loved about the Savior. Jane shared among other things that "I know Jesus Christ that I love all of you." We are so grateful for Jesus Christ and his precious birth. It has been wonderful holding Spencer and thinking about the baby Jesus and what He means in our lives. We are so grateful for the Savior and our families.
Merry Christmas!
And previously in our lives:
